Da Nang's newest 24/7 cafe barely reads as a cafe. Walk into Hi4's second location on Nguyễn Văn Trỗi and the first thing you see is a wall of books three storeys tall, long study tables, and a room full of people quietly heads-down on laptops. It feels like a library that happens to sell very good noodles.
A cafe that reads like a library
The hook is the architecture: a warehouse-scale space wrapped in floor-to-ceiling bookshelves, industrial trusses overhead, leather chairs, planter dividers, and big red DREAM / CREATE / INSPIRE banners running down one wall. There's a house rule to match the look, loud noises are not allowed, so it stays closer to a reading room than a coffee shop, even when it's full.
What's on the menu
Coffee and tea run roughly 39k-69k, and unusually for a work cafe, the kitchen is real. Expect both Asian and Western plates at fair prices: mì quảng and rice dishes from around 39k, up to bacon spaghetti near 69k and even steak. It's enough to camp out for a full work session without leaving for a meal.
Built for the all-nighter
This is where Hi4 separates from the average cafe. It's open 24 hours, with free unlimited wifi and even dorm beds for a nap between sprints. For students in exam season, remote workers on foreign time zones, or anyone who does their best thinking at 2am, it's a genuinely rare setup in Da Nang.
Finding it
This is the second Hi4 location, at 02 Nguyễn Văn Trỗi in Hòa Cường, a few minutes inland from the Han River and Dragon Bridge. The original Hi4 sits across the river at 120 Mai Thúc Lân near the beach. Both trade on the same idea: a big, cheap, always-open place to actually get things done.
For a city filling up with remote workers and students, a 24/7 room this large, this cheap, and this deliberately quiet is less a cafe than a piece of infrastructure, the kind of place you build a routine around.
